They're fun, as well as challenging. It doesn't have to be about coming in first. You can make it about pushing yourself further that you ever have before. It can be about finishing - finishing something you didn't think you could. And steady improvement and learning.

How do I get started, how do I train?
First, decide to do it. Start out slowly. Then search out others that are involved and organizations that can help. San Anto
nio's Ride Like A Girl is committed to helping bring resources together so you can do just that. There are many books and websites with specific information on this sport that can help you. Triathlons, if done properly, become a lifetime fitness program, commitment of will and a rewarding journey.
When can I find the time for training when I am already busy?
Make it a priority. Make YOU a priority. Decide you are worth it, organize your time for training and let everyone know this is som
ething you have to do for yourself. Get them to help you, too. It's healthy for fathers to spend time alone with their kids. And Saturday mornings are a great time for that. It's important for kids to help out around the house. It aids in their development, gives them a sense of independence. You are much more productive at work when you have a balanced life that includes fitness & exercize. Large corporations have learned this and implemented programs using fitness to increase productivity. Educate your boss on increasing productivity in a similar way.
What do I have to do to compete in and complete a trialthon?
Begin swimming, running and biking. You'll need proper equipment, a solid training plan and efficient biomechanics (how you move your body). And a healthy goal if you're just starting out? Plan to finish the race with a smile on your face.

We are looking for people to help us plan some regular group runs and swim opportunuties.

It doesn't have to be anything fancy or expert. Let us know when you plan on running or swimming. We just need a time and a start location. We'll set them up as an 'at your own pace' run or swim.
